Napkin Rings
Materials for a 25 student classroom: Scissors and 9" x 12" felt squares
10 dark red squares (Napkin rings and bracts)
4 dark green squares (Leaves)
2 bright yellow squares (Flowers)
Total Cost for 25 students: $2.50 - $6.50 (10 to 25 cents per student)

Here are templates for the Napkin Rings:

A

2 " X 9"

Red Napkin Ring
Cut 9" X 2" rectangles from a red felt piece.
Yield Per 9" X 12" Felt Square: 4 napkin rings

 

B
4.5" X 3.5"
Green Leaves & Red Bracts
Cut 4 1/2" X 3 1/2" squares from green
and red felt pieces.
Cut a center hole that is 1/2" by 1/2".
Yield Per 9" X 12" Felt Square: 8 red bracts, 8 green leaves

2" X 2"
Yellow Flowers
Cut 2" X 2" squares from a yellow felt piece.
Yield Per 9" X 12" Felt Square: 18 flowers

Cutting
1. Cut 1 pattern piece A from red felt.
2. Cut 1 pattern piece B from green felt.
3. Cut 1 pattern piece B from red felt.
4. Cut 1 pattern piece C from yellow felt.

Assembly:
1. Fold red ring (A) in half and pinch points together.
2. Push points of red ring (A) through the hole in green leaves (B).
3. Push points of red ring (A) through the hole in red bracts (B).
4. Roll the yellow flower (C) into a tube. Push yellow tube down through the holes in the center of the bracts (B) and leaves (B).
